Character Ed Theme – Accomplishment
Ø Thank you to all the teachers and students that helped make donut day a huge success this year. With your help, MTA raised $1,476.00 for our scholarship fund! Thank you again, we will be selling donuts again in September next school year.
Ø Panthers Got Talent is underway on Monday, May 13th! The following students were selected to perform: Emma Vrooman, Kate Haake, Aubrey Wargo, The Dancing Divas, Connor Crank, Elizabeth Naylor, Esmee Balance Husted, Braylee Peyman, and Vincent Koch. Congratulations and please report to the gym Wednesday, May 8th at 2:30 pm for the Dress Rehearsal, bring all gear and outfits!
Ø 7th & 8th Grade Students-If you want to sign up for the field day volleyball tournament on May 10th, sign-up sheet is in the gym.
Ø BLOOD DRIVE on May 29th – In memory of Shane Toenjes at St James Catholic Church (412 W. Washington Ave, Millstadt) from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. If you are able, please donate! Ø The boys track team is Cahokia Conference Champions! A tremendous team effort powered the boys to a close victory over 2nd place Freeburg and 3rd place Columbia. Boys event conference champions are: Micah Pitre - 7th grade 100, 8th grade 4x100 - Mark Burton, Jamos Clay, Luke Schmidt, Noah Thomason, 4x200 - Mark Burton, Kalind Hendricks, Luke Schmidt, Jack Gravot.
The girls track team finished runner-up with a great team effort also. Girls event conference champions are: Lainey Capell - 100 & 200, Mylee Davis – 400, 4x200- Callie Capell, Mylee Davis, Lucy Seneczyn, Lainey Capell, Sprint Medley- Callie Capell, Alyssa Sternau, Mylee Davis, Avery Klucker, Shot Put - Claire Emig, Discus- Jasmine Hill
Coach Bilbruck and Coach Keeley appreciate the toughness and dedication to the teams shown by several athletes making sacrifices to make these possible. Great job Panthers!
Ø Student Council - It's time to elect Student Council Members for next year!!! Petitions have
been given to a teacher in grades 5-7. Please read through the requirements carefully.
The following are some guidelines for acceptance in Student Council:
Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA .Display leadership qualities. Have the ability to work with others. Demonstrate appropriate behavior in and out of the classroom. Possess the desire to make Millstadt Schools a better place!!
You must get 25 classmates from your grade level to sign your petition as well as 4 teachers that can attest to your character. Once you have filled out all the questions and received your signatures, please turn it in to your homeroom teacher. They are due Thursday, May 9th!! - Thank you Mrs. Wilson
