Character Ed Theme – Respect

 

Ø  The Yearbook Club is hosting a yearbook sales competition. The homeroom with the highest percentage of sales by October 15th wins a pizza party. If there is a tie, then the pizza party will go to the class that has the highest percentage of add-ons such as personalization.

Ø  Sign-ups for wrestling, basketball, and cheerleading tryouts are in the gym!

Ø  Save the Date on October 3rd.  The Illinois Judges association will be making a presentation regarding “Worries of the Worldwide Web” at 6:00 pm in the MCS gym.

Ø  Cheerleading tryouts will be September 30th from 3:30-5:00, October 1st from 3:30-5:00, and October 2nd from 3:30 pm until the last tryout.

 

Ø  Come join us for the fall play on September 26th, "Doc, Doc, Goose". The morning performance for grades 5-8 will begin at 9:15. The afternoon performance for grades preK - 4 will begin at 1:00.

 

Ø  We will be having a hat day on Thursday, September 26th. Pay $1 to wear a hat, with proceeds going to the fall play.

Ø  Our LiveSchool Rewards store opens today! Teachers - Please see your email for directions and information to review before students log in to shop. Students - Happy Shopping!

Ø  The results from our Sock It To Childhood Cancer Fundraiser are in, and all I can say is WOW! This year our district raised a total of $7880.41!!! That is $400 more than last year! The student council couldn't be more proud of the students and staff for supporting such an outstanding local organization. Our efforts will help grant wishes to children who are battling cancer, and we couldn't be more excited. MCS raised $3195.54. The winning class at MCS that raised $381.55 and earned a pizza party is Mrs. Holmes' third grade class!!!  Congratulations! There were some amazing decorated socks this year as well, but three really stood out! If you hear your name, please come to the office to collect your prize.

 In fourth grade - Amelia Jackson, In third grade - Liberty Froese and Jax Johnson.
