Character Ed Theme – Responsibility

-Yearbook Sales Contest News:  Mrs. Obermeier's 7th   grade class and Mr. Heeg's 6th grade class are currently tied for 1st place with 64% and Mrs. Sangiolo's 5th grade class is close behind with 63%. Remember, the class with the highest percentage of yearbooks sold by October 15th wins a pizza party, order those yearbooks soon!

Sr Band & 5th Grade Band, Great job at the concert last night, you sounded amazing!  Let’s do it again today! (10/9)

-Year Book Cover Contest: Attention 8th Graders... Yearbook Cover Contest designs are due to Mrs. Fischer by Friday October 11th to be voted on by teachers and staff. See Mrs. Fischer for any questions.

-Open Gym: 7th or 8th grade boys trying out for basketball can attend optional open gyms on Wednesday (10/9) at 5:30. Boys can come down and get a handout from Mr. Bilbruck that has times on it.

-Math Team News: Attention 7th and 8th Graders! Math Team will have practice on Monday (10/07) during lunch recess and next Thursday morning (10/10) at 7:30 a.m. This is in preparation for a contest at Belleville West on Saturday, Oct. 19th at 9:00 AM. Please see Ms. Glaeser for more information or email her at nglaeser@mccsd160.com.  Thank you!

-Hat Day:  4th grade is sponsoring a Hat Day on October 11.  The proceeds will be donated to the VFW at the Veterans Day Assembly.  Please bring a donation of $1 to wear a hat.   

-Chess Team News:  MCS students in grades 6th-8th who are interested in joining the chess team need to sign-up by filling out the Chess Team Form. This form was sent via TeacherEase by Mrs. Nolte.

-VFW Patriot’s Pen:  Teachers will be getting information/entry form on this year’s VFW contest the week of October 7th to hand out to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.  Entries are due by October 18th

-Band Concert:  We have a band concert on Wednesday (10/9) at 9:00am in the MCS gym.  We can begin seating at 8:45.  I look forward to seeing everyone together again!  Sandi Pegg

• 4CK and 4ET in center of the bleachers on the visitor side

• 4GS in the center of the bleachers on the home side

• 5th grade in bleachers on visitor side beginning at the end farthest from the stage

• 6th grade in bleachers on visitor side beginning at the end closest to the stage

• 7th grade in bleachers on the home side beginning at the end farthest from the stage

• 8th grade in bleachers on the home side beginning at the end nearest the stage

TJ Pizza fundraising orders are due on Tuesday, October 15th.
