Character Ed Theme – Tolerance
Attention All Students….
Ø Congratulations to some members of the math team competed Saturday along with students from 13 other schools at SIU-E in the nationwide Mathcounts competition. These members include Andrew Elliot, Griffin Guinn, Spencer Keck, Bryce Kurfman and Mac Lanciault. Official scores were not released on Saturday but Andrew did bring home a trophy for being the highest scorer from our school. Nice job gentlemen for representing our school so well!

Ø Attention Geography Bee Contestants…. Please meet in Mrs. Obermeier’s room today @ 2:35 p.m. for a quick meeting.
Ø Attention 4th-8th grade Wrestlers…. The pizza party- game night is today from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in Mr. Beatty’s room. Please bring uniforms back that night in a bag with your name on it.
Ø Attention Students…. Student Council is selling Valograms starting this Wednesday, Feb. 5th through Feb. 12th. Send a Crush Soda to your Crush or to yourself. Cost is $1.00.
Attention 8th Grade Students…. Please turn in your Graduation Fees to the Principal’s office no later than next Friday, February 7th to allow time to order the graduation outfits and receive them before graduation picture day. A representative from Josten’s will take measurements for the cap and gown in the conference room next to the Principal’s office during lunch on Tuesday, February 11th.
Ø Attention 3rd - 8th Grade Students…. If you are interested in Chess Club, please stop by the computer lab for a schedule. It is every Tuesday & Wednesday in February in the Computer Lab from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Ø Attention Kindergarten – 8th Grade Students… It is that time of year again for our Young Author's contest. Information went home this week. All entries are to be turned into school by Thursday, February 20th. This year there is no specific theme. We are looking forward to reading all of your wonderful stories. The winners selected are invited to attend a conference on Tuesday, March 31st at Westhaven School. Please contact Mrs. Meyer or Mrs. Coppernoll if you have any questions. Good luck!!
Ø Attention 4th – 8th Grade Students…. The Geography Bee is in the gym next Tuesday, February 4th at 1:15 p.m.
Attention 6th/7th/8th Grade Students…. The Cupid’s Crush Dance will be on Friday, February 14th from 7-9 p.m. for 6th -8th grade. The cost is $5.00. You have to have a permission slip from your parents to attend.
