Some members of the Math Team competed Saturday at SIU-E in the Mathcounts math competition. Spring Froese, Myles Kurfman, Kirby Patterson and Riley Weems represented our team. Violet Aplin, Conner Branum, Katherine Haake, Alexander Hogg, Brooke Scharringhausen, and Reagan Witt also competed as individuals. 10 schools participated in the competition. Myles finished 8th out of all the Mathletes participating and qualified him to participate in a high pressure oral speed round. Myles also qualified to compete as an individual in the State Competition held in Oswego, IL on March 8th! This is an honor that one of our students seldom achieves! Ms. Glaeser is very proud of Myles and how well all the students performed on Saturday and the hard work they put forth in preparing for this event!
